Responsibilities
• Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient’s history, examining them, and conducting
neurological tests.
• Perform physical and neurological examination of patients who are suffering from order diagnostic tests
such as blood tests, spinal fluid tests, and imaging tests such as MRIs
• Counseling patients on neurological disorders and their background.
• Prescribing and/or administering treatment and medication.
• Monitoring the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication.
• Liaising with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
• Keeping up-to-date with neurological developments, treatments, and medication.
• Performing specialized treatments such as sleep disorders, neuroimmunology, neuro-oncology, behavioral
neurology, and neurogenetics.
• Administer tests such as computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests
• Prescribe medication for seizures, Encephalitis, Meningitis, and Alzheimer’s disease among others
• When needed, provide pain management treatments
• Communicate and inform patients or family members
• Communicate with other health care professionals and participate in neuroscience research activities
• Develop treatment plans, and manage and adapt treatment of patients depending on progress
Job Requirements
• Degree in medicine.
• 10+ years of work experience
• DHA License/ DHA Eligibility, DOH License
• Fantastic counseling and listening skills.
