Responsibilities
• Performing annual and regular examinations on patients to diagnose various gynecological conditions.
• Performing various diagnostic tests on patients, which include Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone
profile blood tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies.
• Performing surgeries and gynecological procedures on patients, such as cervical cryosurgeries, dilation and
curettages, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations.
• Recording and updating patients' medical histories.
• Explaining test results, diagnoses, and treatment options to patients.
• Educating patients on reproductive health issues and disease prevention.
• Working with expecting mothers to explain the childbirth process and advise patients on suitable birth
control options. In addition, provide childbirth and postpartum care for new mothers
• Performing a wide range of tests, including pap smears, and pelvic, and breast exams.
• Diagnosing and prescribing treatments for disorders and diseases.
• Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and
managed appropriately.
• Conducting routine check-ups on patients.
• Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
• Educating patients about disease prevention and detection, and reproductive health.
• Refer patients to other healthcare specialists as needed.
• Collaborating with other medical and non-medical personnel.
• Keeping up to date with current practices and innovations.
• To have responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirement of the Health and Safety Regulations.
